The Pikes is located in the heart of Pikesville, Maryland. Before it became The Pikes it was The Pikes Theater. With a single large screen - it was the place to take your sweetheart on a Saturday night. The cove ceilings, art deco architecture, façade dripping with neon and the original movie marquee have been expertly preserved by its current owners so that The Pikes maintains the charm it was known for.
The Pikes have evolved over the years and is currently Baltimore’s premier live music venue bringing you Baltimore’s music elite. Groups like Tall in the Saddle, Mr. Wilson, Spiral, Dean Crawford & The Dunn River Band, Meredith Seidel, J.D. & The Blades, Heads Up, Black Swan, the Dean DeMarco Band and Rob Fahey are just a few to have graced out stage.
But it’s not only music that we do here at The Pikes. The Pikes started at as a Diner in 2004 and have continued with that traditional American diner fair ever since.
Breakfast is the most important meals of the day and boy do we do breakfast right. Ginormous omelettes built to order, eggs any way you like them and homemade chipped beef and sausage gravy that are sure to get your day started. If you have a sweet tooth we offer homemade french toast and pancakes and for those southerners we have waffles n’ wings.
Lunch time brings you over stuffed sandwiches, rich and steaming soups and heart health salads. Whether on bread, on a roll or in a wrap our shrimp salad is award winning. We also offer a lunch special that gives you all of that goodness for one low price.
Dinner is where we really shine offering the WORLDS BEST FRIED CHICKEN. Our Henny Penny chicken is broasted in a pressure fryer that keeps the skin crispy while keeping the meat moist and juicy. We also offer an array of comfort foods such as meatloaf, liver and onions, spare ribs and hot turkey and beef sandwiches that are synonymous with a Diner. But we don’t stop there.
During the summer months The Pikes offers hot steamed crabs the likes only Baltimoreans can do. Steamed to order and brought to your table piping hot. Crabs are available by the dozen for both eat in and carry out. We also have several all you can eat nights where you can eat to your hearts content.
All this goodness is also available for private events. The Pikes is available for rental for your special event. Whether it a wedding, bar /bat mizvah, high school reuniona, crab feasts or fund raisers we will tailor our menu to your needs. No group is too big or too small.
